MemberWhat is raw butter and where do I find it? I’m trying some of the recipes but am having a hard time finding some ingredients – such as raw butter and Stevia syrup. Help?

MemberRaw butter is made from milk that has not been pasteurized or homogenized. The article linked below provides a link to sources (at the end) http://www.trimdownclub.com/all-about-raw-milk/.
Stevia syrup can be made combining Stevia powder to water at a ratio of 1:1/2 (Stevia powder:water).
Other than the raw dairy (which you will see in the article is a special case), the products we recommend can be found in health-oriented stores, including large chains such as Whole Foods Market and Trader Joe’s, as well as online. MemberOssie, thank you for the info, it’s very helpful. I actually found the liquid Stevia at a health food store, but am glad I know how to make it. Still haven’t found raw butter but will keep looking. Been to all the local health food stores and most look at me like I’m nuts. They sell raw milk, but I’m not into churning my own butter. There are no Whole Foods Market or Trader Joes near me, but rumor is we are getting a Trader Joes nearby, hope it’s true.

MemberHi, Marti. In the meantime, organic butter is just fine.
