I don’t understand my menu for example am I supposed to mix all this together? Its a weird combination.
•1/2 cup of Home Fries/Chips
•3 ounces of Tuna, Canned in Water
•1 cup of Pinto Beans
•1/2 cup of Artichoke heart or bottom, in water
•1 cup of Cabbage
Hi, JustJanet. It looks like a high-protein, two-vegetable meal, basically. The home fries are the carb, the tuna the main protein, and you can make a salad and/or high-protei casserole with the rest. For example, combine shredded cabbage with sliced, chopped, or shredded free vegetables (see the list following the last day of your weekly menu) and lemon juice or vinegar and seasonings – you may also choose to add the pinto beans and/or artichoke to the salad; if not, you can sauté together chopped artichoke with pinto beans and seasonings (possibly also with additional free vegetables) for a high-protein casserole-style hot vegetable serving. You might even add a teaspoon of olive oil to one of the vegetable items.
