Tagged: protein after workout
New to this approach to managing my nutrition, I am very active in my gym, lifting weights 4 days a week. I printed out my menu plan, not sure how to adapt it to protein needs after a workout. Appreciate any insight, thanks
Hi, Wanda. Depending on when you work out in relation to your meals, make sure you have a protein-rich snack with a carb within 30 minutes after your workout. Most of the between-meal snacks in the program are designed to be that way, but if the timing doesn’t exactly reflect the menu, just move foods so at least you get what you need and are not eating more than your daily needs.
If you would like more detailed direction, you are welcome to post your age, height, weight, and a sample day from your weekly menu, along with the time you usually work out.
