I was told I should be using coconut oil instead of olive oil, any thoughts on that?
Hi, Sloms. Was there a specific reason you were told to use coconut instead of olive oil? Do you have a particular medical condition?
Coconut oil does have some beneficial properties, but most of these have been shown in specific digestive system problems and in people genetically accustomed to coconuts. Note that it is a source of saturated fats, and while the make up is not as bad as other sources, it is not yet recommended for regular use. A small amount, i.e. a teaspoon per day, is OK.
Again, if you have a specific medical condition, you can repost here, and I will address that.
