I am excited to begin my menu planning, but my homemade bread is not a listed choice! I’ve been making bread for over 20 years and don’t want to stop now. If you have flour/ingredient suggestions for breads, that would be very helpful! I use a sourdough starter, so these are not breadmachine or traditional yeast breads I make for my family. I’d be happy to know how I can make my bread healthier for all of us. Thanks! Diane
Hi, Diane, and welcome. You can just choose bread on the Menu Planner, and use your own bread. Just pay attention to the portion size (the standard amount for an exchange is 1 ounce), and it is recommended to use whole grains.
Here is the Club recipe for bread, either with or without a breadmaking machine. We recommend SWG (sprouted whole grain) flour, but any 100% whole grain is fine, too. http://www.trimdownclub.com/recipe/homemade-sprouted-whole-grain-swg-bread/
