what should I eat?
Small bag of salty popcorn xx
Whatever you eat at the movies, in addition to downsizing and going as low-fat and low-sugar as possible, be sure to count what you eat into your daily plan. For example, a small bag of plain popcorn is equal to 3 slices of bread (or 1-1/2 cups rice or pasta) plus 5 teaspoons of oil. Hopefully this is only an occasional treat, since the ingredients are still unhealthy (lots of sodium, “bad” fats, and GM corn).
If you go to the movies on a regular basis, see if you can gradually cut back. Share the small popcorn with someone, and see if you can get through movies without. Since movie treats are so expensive, set aside the money you save to get yourselve a really nice present.
