What I learned about the danger of sugar spiking (ie orange juice) is not consistent with your menu plan (eat a peach for a snack) I’m trying to understand your theory in order to really apply it to my life, and although it appears to be a very healthy menu plan, it does not seem to completely make sense to me.
Hi, ncharon. The advantage of whole fruit over juice is that the fiber slows down the metabolic impact of the sugar. Note also that the morning snack is the heaviest of the snacks and includes protein, to match the higher metabolic need earlier in the day. These principles enure the flow of energy/sugar matches how much is burned, to prevent spikes and drops.
