MemberNew Member – I just set up my “favorite foods” – the recap shows a value of 79%!! I was just diagnosed as early stage diabetic and need to lose weight fast (but safely) – I’m not sure this menu helps – Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance

MemberI read that the lightest colored blue selections of food are the best for you, so when my menu is done i may “switch” one of my darker blue items with this, have you seen those little arrows beside each food? Then i can usually get up to 85% or more, the best i have hit was90%. I think in the im feeling lucky menu selection that you should try for 80 or better..everyone tells me..small steps, so think positive, hope this helped.

MemberHi, grammiex3, and thanks Tanya. Beyond avoiding processed foods and reducing concentrated sweets, for diabetes, the best choices will be high in omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and fiber, including swapping out regular eggs for omega-3 or grass-fed/free-range eggs and white for whole grains, and loading up on free vegetables (a link to the list is located after Sunday on your weekly menu). Consider also gradually cutting back on meats, even going meatless at least once per week, and choosing instead legumes and/or nuts (almonds, walnuts, and hazelnuts/filberts are best for omega-3s).
