MemberMost, if not all, the recipes used in this program are, Quite understandably, American orientated.
As such, access the ingredients is often nigh impossible in Wales,UK.
Does anyone know of UK.suppliers or alternative ingredients?.PLEASE.June 11, 2013 at 9:28 pm #12446Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, WilliamKeith. Many of the lesser known foods are sold in health food and health-oriented shops, including those in Wales. Some of the foods are not well-known in general, which is part of what makes them so healthy and conducive to weight loss – because they are not mass-produced and refined. There may be some terms that are different for the same item.
Beyond that, most any fresh, whole, unprocessed and unrefined foods can be used in this program. The following has links to various local suppliers of high-quality foods http://www.walesthetruetaste.co.uk/welshfoodanddrink/directoryoffoodanddrink?lang=en. This is also a good source for online ordering http://www.greenbeanorganics.co.uk/organic-breads.html. Farmers markets are a great place to get good food as well. You can complete the Menu Planner with any foods in the various food groups, and swap them out as you wish – the point is to get the right portion sizes of the right food groups in the right combinations, and distributed well throughout the day.
If you have questions about specific items, I am more than happy to answer. - AuthorPosts
