One of the things that attracted me to join the club is the that we are misinformed about the food we eat. There was mention of 5 foods that have been advertised as “good for you” while in fact they are NOT. I can only remember 3 of them: concentrated orange juice, wheat bread, and soy/soy products. can anybody remember what the other 2 were? and if there are other foods that belong in this category?
Sumina, I think it margerine and something else. Soy is not “not good” for you. It has something to do with fermented and unfermented soy. To say all soy products are not good is incorrect. There are whole cultures in the world who eat lots of soy and are healthier than the western population.
The other two were margarine and genetically modified corn and corn products. I agree, that was a draw for me as well. There is so much wrong information out there. The food and advertising industries are running amok!
