MemberWhen creating a menu, I noticed that when I select a protein, all the light blue options are from a recipe, but when I want a meat or fish by itself, it’s medium blue. I don’t have a lot of time to make to prepare a lot of recipe options, so I select chicken, fish or beef by itself for proteins. I would’ve thought meats or fish by itself would be more healthier than mixed with other items. Can you explain?
Also, for carbs, sometimes I want to switch my 1 cup or quinoa for brown rice. What kind of brown rice is best to eat? The brown rice is med blue, so should I reduce the serving size of the rice to stay in the 93% menu health level? Is so, what should the serving size be?

MemberHi, EBurrel. Rice does indeed have more carbs than, say, quinoa, so it is not the lightest blue; it is also a more mass-produced item, so even the brown rice may have undergone some level of industrial manipulation. Regarding meat and fish, this is a similar story – aside from increasing recommendations to focus on plant-based proteins, the land and water on/in which meat and fish are raised sometimes contain undesirable components.
