MemberI am new to the program, haven’t actually started yet. Seems like a lot of work but I do want to loose the weight. We don’t eat a lot of breakfast, I just wanted to know if you have to eat all these foods everyday? I mean I don’t eat this many snacks and meals a day. My husband can’t eat breakfast because he gets up and goes to work. Any suggestions on breakfast to save time?

MemberHi Gabhart! I have been doing this for a month! I’ve lost 9.4 pounds. All of my #’s went down at the doctor after 3 weeks on. Yippee!! My menu comes up with some breakfasts that I fix in advance and bag up. They are really good. I cook oatmeal and grits in advance, weigh them out and put them in baggies, then you just have to heat them up. I get everything for the week prepared that I can and put it in baggies. Then I just have to grab and go. I’m really excited. This is the first diet I’ve ever been able to do successfully.

MemberHi, TateDart. The recipes on the website page (see the Recipes link above) do have serving sizes. We are currently adding them to the downloadable cookbooks.

MemberHi, Debbie. Grits are a hot cereal/porridge type of food made from white or yellow corn or “hominy”. They are eating with both sweet or savory seasonings.

Membermy husband is on the program as well. I’ve made his morning menu so that he can eat it while driving. It’s basically a boiled omega 3 egg, 2 slices of swg bread, 1 oz of almonds, 1/4 cup of raisins. The almonds & raisins I found prepackaged. A small box of raisins = 1/4 cup… I measured it. Also found the almonds in small snack packages marked 1 oz. It’s easier for him to grab & eat as he drives to work, and easier for me to pack the night before.
You really want to change your eating habits, and skipping breakfast is a bad habit. I used to skip breakfast too, but now I look forward to breakfast. I found I feel so much better beginning each day with food, than going for hours without. Good Luck !!

MemberHi, Rainy2010, and welcome. SWG stands for “sprouted whole grain”. You can read more about it here http://www.trimdownclub.com/what-is-swg-bread/.
