Hi
I cook with this as it has no cholesterol and is supposed to help keep cholesterol levels down. I also prefer the taste to Olive oil. Is it OK to use?
Hi, lindspep. Rice bran oil is not one of the favored oils in this program because it has a high amount of omega-6 fatty acids, of which there is already too much in the modern food supply. If you are looking for a nutty-tasting oil, try hazelnut, almond, or macadamia nut oils, or for a milder-tasting oil, try high-oleic sunflower or safflower oils.
