Tagged: honey
The food groups do not mention honey, I am aware it is a form of sugar, is it a total no no? I noticed jam and marmalade were included in the spreads, I expected honey to be included?? I often have honey with lemon and hot water, I also put it in my home made yogurt and I enjoy it on rice cakes!
The other products that have not been mentioned are soy milk, rissotto, rissoni are they a no no, if so what are the better alternatives.
Hi, Jannypanny. We dont’ favor honey because it is mostly very concentrated fructose, which can work against your goals. However, if you use it in small amounts, i.e. in your tea, that’s fine. Better options for your yogurt and rice cakes would be pure fruit purees.
