Ingredients
- 1 cup / 70 g whole grain soda crackers, crushed
- 2 egg whites, organic grass-fed/free-range or omega-3
- 1 Tbsp / 15 ml Worcestershire sauce, preferably without fructose syrup
- 2 tsp / 5 g Old Bay or other seasoning blend for seafood
- ¼ tsp / ½ g crushed red pepper
- 6 Tbsp / 90 g plain low-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 lb / 454 g crab meat, cooked
- 1 tsp / 2 g onion powder
- 1 Tbsp / 14 ml olive oil
Directions
- Combine first 6 ingredients and fold into crab meat.
- Form into 12 patties of between ¼ to ⅓ cup (60-80 ml) each. Brush the tops with some of the olive oil.
- Coat large skillet or baking sheet with some of the olive oil.
- Over medium heat or in an oven at 350°F/180°C, cook crab cakes for 20 minutes, turning once.
- Repeat as needed until all patties are cooked.
