Hi Sharon, I was wondering if it is ok to add a baked potato(jacket, topped with tuna or cheese salad, or baked beans on toast?,as i really love these foods.
Hi, JaneyB. Of course – just select the individual ingredients in the Menu Planner lists. If they don’t appear together in a meal, swap it in. Just be careful about portions – about a quarter of a cup (50 g) of tuna or cheese salad is considered an exchange (protein) that you can swap in for each ounce of chicken, beef, or other fish, and 1/2 cup (120 g) of baked beans is considered a carbohydrate serving that you can swap in for rice, pasta, etc. – same for 1/2 a small or medium potato.
Hi Sharon, thanks for your reply i can’t wait to swap them into my menu, its nice to know this healthy eating plan doesn’t restrict you too much, thanks again for your help.
