Ingredients
- 4 plums, cut in half and stone removed
- Juice of 1 large orange
- 2 tsp. / 10 ml. of real maple syrup
- 2 whole star anise
Directions
- Heat the oven to 360° F / 180°C.
- Place the plums in a baking dish.
- Gently heat the orange juice and maple syrup in a small saucepan, stirring to combine.
- Pour the juice and syrup mixture over the plums and put the star anise between a few of the plums.
- Bake for 30 minutes until the plums are soft.
Serve with low-fat mascarpone or unflavored yogurt, if desired (1 oz / 28 g cheese = 1 protein exchange; 3 oz / 85 g yogurt = ½ protein exchange).
