fatso1211MemberThis is my first time logging in. I’m lost. I was looking for the “startup” 14 day Quick menu, where “they” figure it out for you (I guess). I did do a different 1 week diet plan, and as they suggested, I gave them a wide choice of foods as I included almost all available as acceptable. Wellll, It planned 7 days, 5 meals/snacks a day, and gave me menus. There was a very wide variety of meals (which I like), but what I didn’t consider was the shopping list.Much of this stuff is going to have to be bought at a store like Whole Foods, and with the list I have it’ll probably cost me in excess of $500. Am I doing something very wrong, to think my food bill is going to be $2000 a month??? Comments/directions/suggestions, please and thank you.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, fatso1211, and welcome. See this link here http://www.trimdownclub.com/product/trimdownclub-program/ (it is in “My Downloads” above). The 14-day plan is under “Special Bonus”.
Regarding the foods, yes, many of them are more likely to be found at Whole Foods Market than at regular grocery stores, though some large warehouse-type chains such as Target, WalMart, and CostCo are increasingly stocking them at decent prices.
If the cost becomes prohibitive, don’t worry about being perfect – just upgrade some of your staples (i.e. white grains to whole grain, canned to fresh, processed to unprocessed). When you are at Whole Foods, try to buy the bulk items instead of packaged.
Sometimes eating healthy can seem more expensive, but there are definitely ways around it – just give yourself time to find your way in the stores. It’s a one-time time investment that can really pay off. - AuthorPosts
