Hi, 12joannae. These are found in regular grocery stores, but do read the label to be sure. A more reliable source would health-oriented shops.

Hi, I am quit dissapointed in the diet. I didn’t realise it was organic, free range, etc you had to buy so it works out an expensive diet, plus i can’t find most of the foods. If i had known this i would have never done it. I done the Atkins diet a while ago and that was so easy to do, and you don’t have to pay anything for joining it.So think i’ll be back on the Atkins.

Hi, chamshe. Don’t worry about all that on this program. Just focus on whole, unprocessed, unrefined foods, and you’ll be most of the way there. You can definitely benefit from the portion control, timing, and food combining of the menus, which are done automatically for you. Note the food lists contain regular foods, too.

When I first joined I just used what I had. I’ve been on every diet ever invented. This is by far the healthiest I’ve ever been on. Including Atkins. This is not a diet . It is a lifestlye.I’m sold! I’ve lost 22 lbs!

Today I bought some whole wheat English Muffins and tortillas for wraps. It says whole wheat flour on the ingredients, not enriched. Is this the right kind? I try to stay away from bread when Im dieting anyway so Im a little worried that these are wrong. I once did an Atkins-type diet and all I could eat were those super dense cracker-sized breads.

In the Trim Down Club Program app – this is what it says about bread…

Whole Wheat Bread: It is probably the most eye-opening that whole wheat bread is often not an optimal choice. The problem is that most whole wheat breads are still made with either refined sugars, white flour, or some other ingredients that cause insulin spikes and therefore related hunger and/or rapid storage of the calories as fat shortly after you eat them. Therefore, most whole wheat bread will do nothing to help your weight loss efforts, and may very well hurt your weight loss efforts due to how your body processes it. There are much healthier breads out there to try and enjoy.

True whole grain breads: If you want to have your bread and really enjoy it for weight loss and for better health, then tune into the right types. Rice bread, spelt bread, SWG, and 100% whole wheat bread are loaded with fiber and nutrients, and therefore will help to keep you full longer. They won’t cause that terrible insulin spike and related hunger and weight gain boost that so many other bread and bread products are known for. They are actually the best carbohydrates out there. You can enjoy related favourites such as SWG English muffins or wraps, and rice or rye crackers for a nice little treat. These are some of your best allies in the fight against fat, and should be part of your regular staples in the kitchen.

Thanks, fotogal:) Clairspice – are there any other flours in the bread? If not, it might be OK. What brand is it? I can look into it, if you wish.
