I make my own cream cheese from full fat Greek yoghurt by putting it in a muslin cloth over a jug overnight for the whey to drain off. I ticked cream cheese in my menu planner in the snack section and having created two separate menus it hasn’t come up once in 14 days! What I would like to have it on is a 1/2 gluten free roll (they are about the size of a burger bun and weigh an oz) as either the 1st or 2nd snack but didn’t know how much I can have. I wouldn’t have any butter on the roll. Any ideas?
Anna, 1 tsp= 1 fat on the exchange list .So I would think you could substitute it in?? I love it ,too and haven’t had it once!
For cream cheese, you can get 1-1/2 Tablespoons into a serving, since it isn’t 100% fat.
Thanks, I decided to go for what I thought was a reasonable portion but wouldn’t be just a scraping. It was a lot less than a tablespoon, so good to know the right amount.
