how would a veggie burger made with 1/2c bulgar, 1/4 c gluten free bread crumbs, 1 large carrot, cayenne pepper, garlic, egg, scallion ,2 c mashed pinto beans count??? It makes 4- 1″ patties. Serving 1 patty- I would like to guess and see how close I get! I’d guess 1/2carb,1/4Protein 1/4veggie ???
Hi, Deborah. Close! About 3/4 carb, 3/4 protein, 1/2 vegetable.
Remember: each 1/2 cup cooked bulgur is a carb, and each 1/2 cup cooked/canned beans is 1/2 carb + 1/2 protein, plus each egg is a protein. Each large carrot is a vegetable.
Ok I’m sorry I wasn’t clear it only has 1 egg total and 1 carrot total
