DaisyDewMemberThis is a ‘goody’ too! Being careful in preparing a large recipe of which I’ve never made before, I halved the ingredients — ‘wish I hadn’t. Very tasty, satisfying and filling. After I extracted the suggested ‘serving-size’, I let it cool and then cut ‘squares’ of the dish and tightly/securely wrapped each piece in plastic wrap and put some in fridge and some in freezer.
Indicating that we may have it as a side-dish to chicken/turkey and also as a “…one-pot breakfast meal” — I have eaten practically all the slices for breakfast. 🙂
True confession time: I sorta cheated and used Cheddar/Velveeta for the vegan meltable cheese. My stores dairy employee (displaying a perplexed facial expression of, “Huh?”) knew nothing about this type of cheese.
I ‘Binged’ – How To make vegan cheese and came-up with the link:

Of the old adage of: “A picture’s worth a thousand words”, I find that a, ‘Video is worth ten-thousand words’. 😉 Having some Fleischmann’s Active Dry Yeast on-hand, there’s no indication on the packages that it’s: ‘Nutritional Yeast’, which the recipe indicates is needed.
Ossie-Sharon: Please, what is the ‘difference’ between ‘All Natural Yeast’ and ‘Nutritional Yeast’?
Really — really good dish! 😉

DaisyDewMemberHi Jackiee ~ Observing your picture, it doesn’t look like you need to loose a whole lot of weight — lucky you! Yes! I have made the soup. I was going to express the goodness of this soup yesterday along with the other recipes I mentioned. This soup is to dang good!
I made a pot of it and let it sit on my PIC to cool so I could individualize the servings and put them either in the fridge or freezer. (Sh-h-h-h — don’t tell anyone this.) I couldn’t pass the pot without dishing up a half cup of the soup. Daisy Dew, my Lhasa Apso was hot on my heels for little bites too. It is yummy-yummy good — and yes! — fit for the gods AND goddesses!
Take care . . . Janie 😉
