FattiestPuffMemberHow do I calculate the number of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats in food and how much should be my daily intake to lose weight?

blessingcatcherMemberHi, Puff. You need to check out your own personal menu. Go through the foods checking your wants and save each at the bottom. Then, the last one will say “finish”. Click that and it will give you a personal menu telling you what to eat for a week with the portions and combinations made just for you. You can look to the right and find “view exchanges” and see what each one is valued. It will tell you how much of each you should be eating at each meal and snack and will also give you the day’s totals as well. 🙂

FattiestPuffMemberThanks for your help; I am still confused about exactly how much carbs, proteins, and fats I need per day to lose weight and how do I know how many carbs, proteins, and fats I eat per meal since I cannot always get the same foods or use the same recipes… Can you help?

blessingcatcherMemberHi, Puff! The answer to that is in the last half of what I wrote you before. Look on your daily menu. “You can look to the right and find “view exchanges” and see what each one is valued. It will tell you how much of each you should be eating at each meal and snack and will also give you the day’s totals as well. :)” Each person’s amounts and needs are different as this plan is set up for each individual according to height, weight, age, etc. So, the one-size-fits-all answer won’t work. It will be different for you and I. So, I can’t tell you what would be your nutritional needs. BUT, it IS on your menu plan to the right under “view exchanges”. See if you can find it and come back and let me know after you look it over … if you still have questions. 🙂 I’ll be happy to help you more. jan
