2DoylesMemberI have been a member since January 11, 2014 and during the first week I struggled to understand the diet. Then it was like a lightbulb went off and I am truly starting to get in the groove. I have lost 7 lbs, have been exercising and have more energy then I have had in a long time. Most of all I am looking for a healthy choice in everything I eat. My husband and I went to a restaurant last night and the meal I chose was steak and shrimp kabobs over rice. My plan was to eat half of the meal which would have been perfect for dinner. When the meal was served it was smothered in gravy. In the past I would have accepted the meal as it was prepared and would not have been overly concerned. This time I nicely asked the server to return the meal and to have the cook make what I ordered. It truly meant a lot to me to eat within the guidelines of the diet. When the meal was served it was perfect. to those of you who are just getting started, hang in there and it will get easier.

blessingcatcherMemberWow, 2 Doyles! What a miraculous beginning you have made! Way to go!! 7 lbs is great! I am so thrilled for you! And, so happy that you have made “friends” with the menu planner! I LOVE it! I joined a year ago and have lost 20+ lbs and KNOW the TDC way of eating is lifechanging! It has helped me know what and when and how much to eat, and I can go out almost anywhere now and make good choices! And, I have learned to travel and what to take along tobhelp me get in my healthy snacks as well! 😉 Keep up the good work! And, yes, you are right! It DOES get easier!! Just wait til you have a year under your belt! It feels even better! lol
