I love pilchards but I’m a bit confused as to how I can fit them in. From research it seems that the can of pacific pilchards I have are not sardina pilchardus but anchovies. Whatever they are a 400g can is 66% pacific pilchards, 33% Tomato juice from concentrate the other 1% is made up with salt, Tapioca Starch and Thickener – Guar Gum, with the highest level of the last three being in the order they are typed.
Would they fit in for a lunch meal with a slice of toast without butter etc and perhaps a mixed green salad with no dressing?
Hi, AnnaH. Absolutely. The Menu Planner will work that out for you – just select “sardines” from the seafood list as a placesaver.
Thanks Ossie 😛
