I was so excited when I saw this diet but I am wondering if this is going to be practical for myself. I am student teaching currently so my time is cut short and I have a low budget. I am not a terribly picky eater but a lot of the foods seem new to me. I want to lose 40-50 pounds and I am looking for some guidance. Easy meals for morning, lunch, and dinner would be amazing!

Hi, AlGettler. The whole point of the program is to eat whole, unprocessed foods, which are often the cheapest and simplest. You don’t have to use unfamiliar foods – select whatever you wish from the lists. Basic meals can be just eggs, yogurt, bread, cheese, beans, nuts/seeds, fruits, vegetables, soups, crackers. If you cook, make what you like – pasta, rice, meats or substitutes, vegetables – but use healthier, whole, unprocessed ingredients and seasonings. This really can be simple.

Ossie is so right!! click on your like sheet the things you have in your fridge and gradually add things you’d like to try. It is the most awesome plan I’ve ever seen. It even makes out your menu for you and provides a substitution list ,also!!.You joined us in successful Beginnings and Support, come on into the group and let us help you!! 😛

Hey! Yes I did see the list and how o could alter things… I am just finding it hard to find foods that I have or that I like. I have been trying to eat different items and buy new items but it has been hard. I am also looking for recipes that I will like and have items that already have without being too hard to make. I am constantly on the hunt!!

Hi I am new to this as well. I have started slowly using some of the foods and putting them together for meals. I am having difficulty with the milk and eggs. I have lost 4 lbs in 5 days. I am allergic to a lot of the raw fruit and vegetables and coconut. Could someone help with the milk and eggs but cheapest possible. Single mom looking for a job. Tracie

Hi, Trouble2014. I’m not sure what you mean by “help with the milk and eggs but cheapest possible”. Do you mean healthiest types for the lowest cost? If so, just select the least expensive among the omega-3 or pastured (or grass-fed) eggs, and among organic or pastured (or grass-raised) low-fat milk.
