Ingredients

  1. 2 Garlic cloves, finely minced
  2. 1 lb / 454 g flank seak, preferably organic pastured
  3. ½ tsp / 2 ml sea salt or substitute (optional)
  4. ¼ tsp / 1 ml black pepper
  5. 1 Tbsp / 14 ml coconut oil or butter or ghee, preferably organic pastured
  6. 1 onion, diced into ½-inch pieces
  7. 1 sweet red bell pepper, diced in to ½-inch / 1-cm pieces

Directions

  1. Preheat either outdoor grill or indoor grill to medium-high heat. Massage the garlic into steak and season to taste with sea salt and black pepper.
  2. Grill approximately 5 minutes per side. Set the cooked steak aside to rest.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter/oil and sauté the onion and pepper until soft and slightly browned on the edges.
  4. Slice the steak on a slight angle against the grain.
  5. Serve the steak over the onion and pepper.
