sharonrj1MemberI purchased this today and was excited to bring it home so my husband could try it in his coffee. We have both been looking everywhere for it. I tried it on my finger and almost gagged. He smiled, put it in his coffee and had to spit it out. I don’t take sugar but sometimes accidentally take a sip of his coffee. Well, I said, let me try it and it was horrible, horrible, horrible! It took over 1/2 hour to get the horrible taste out of our mouths. My question is: This monkfruit also contained, water, malic acid, sodium benzoate, and potassium sorbate. Would the malic acid make the horrible taste and after taste? If so, I will continue looking for the 100% monk fruit. Every store I have asked has mentioned that people are asking for it and they should be ordering some soon. Thanks for your help!

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Sharon. That product is indeed not pure, and has some chemicals that prevent us from recommending it. If you and yours are sensitive to the aftertaste, I would recommend buying pure lo han guo (the Chinese name), which you can find on eBay.
