Can anyone tell me if gravy granules are bad for you and if so what alternatives is there?
Also, I’ve seen lots of low cholesterol pro active spreads in the shops. Are these bad as they mention Mono and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids, Beta carotene, Modified Waxy Corn Starch, etc. Are these Bad?
Are Frozen Vegetable bad such as steam in the bag?
Hi, Sdcaldwell1965. Frozen vegetables are just fine. In fact, they may be as good as fresh in some cases. As for the additives you listed, mono and diglycerides are not recommended, as they may be sources of harmful transfats. The others you listed are fine, but do continue to be on the lookout for artificial ingredients. Similarly, the quality of gravy granules depends on what goes into therm. Organic products are often truly all-natural, and so are fine. Do note, however, that they tend to be high in salt.
