Ossie-SharonMemberHi, laverne01.
Cravings of carbs and sweets in the evening may indicate you may not get enough during earlier parts of the day. High-fiber snacks include popcorn (3 cups is a carb serving, but please do try to get the “natural” flavor without added hydrogenated fat or butter flavoriing), mini-ricecakes (12 = 1 carb), and of course, fruits and vegetables. A popular vegetable option is baked kale “chips”: tear kale up to bite-sized pieces, place on a baking sheet lined with cooking paper (silicon-lined is best), seasoning as you like (garlic, smoked paprika, yeast, and lemon pepper are favorites), and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 10-15 minutes until crispy. If you can, try beverages as snacks, too – sipping on green tea has additional benefits that can help your weight efforts.
With regard to your plateau, the most recommended technique to get out of it (other than confirming that you are not eating more than planned, of course), is to change your physical activity. Do some new exercises to work new muscles, up the time or frequency if they are on the low side, or insert bursts of high intensity – for example, during a regular walk, jog or run or walk up a hill for 30-60 seconds here and there. - AuthorPosts
