I just started today and looking over the meals in each category…are they suggestions or am I supposed to eat all the items in each category for maximum benefit? Some do not seem to go together (ie. corn, cottage cheese, date) so I was wondering if eating 1-2 out of 3 of the snack options is ok?
Hi, ESoqui. Yes, the intention is for you to eat everything in the menu. If you find the foods do not go together you can swap out whichever you want by clicking on the food – a list of alternatives will pop up for you to select. If you want to eat 2 out of the 3, be sure to get at least 5 total servings of fruits+vegetables daily, and 3 sources of calcium. Do try to get a source of protein with each carbohydrate as well. If you start to get too hunger, eat more during the earlier part of the day.
