Astarti77MemberHi,
I am looking at my food menu and well it just seems extremely odd. For a snack tuna and say papaya (can’t remember) Also it doesn’t look like each food section from breakfast to dinner makes sense, I thought it would be more in the style of a meal and not random food lists?
Thanks

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Astarti77. It is intended to be in the style of a meal, but you can add your own seasonings and prepare each item as you wish. Different users have different tastes, so if a combination does not suit you, you can click on any item to swap it for something else that you selected in that category when you went through the lists.

brendaklossMemberI am on either a 1200 – 1600 cal diet, depending on how much activity I will be doing on that day. So how do I know how many calories I am eating as far as the menue planning?

FitKitMemberI am having trouble with the menus as I see odd choices for snacks, and a lot of the menus look like Weight Watchers which I never joined because so many of the foods I really can’t stand and I have some dairy intolerance. Feeling disappointed.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Brenda. 1200 is probably to little for you, and may significantly increase the chances of rebound weight gain. I suggest than on days that while you are around your current weight that you follow the menu you get from the Menu Planner on the days on which you work out, and then on days that you don’t, you can cut out 1 starchy carb, 1 protein, and 1 fat exchange from your day

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, FitKit. The similarity with Weight Watchers may be because we follow the standard American Diabetic and Dietetic Associations’ exchange systems. As for dairy, you can select a dairy free route in your profile (click on your name above, and in the bottom right hand corner, select Non Dairy.
The snacks are made up of basic foods such as fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, crackers and breads, spreads, popcorn, etc.. What items would you prefer for snacks that you are not seeing in the lists?May 24, 2014 at 3:46 pm #20442
MSGTRXCPAMemberI have a question about when the menu says 1 cup SWG cereal with milk. Is that 1 cup of SWG cereal and 1 cup of milk? Or do I have 1 cup SWG cereal and some random amount of milk?

TrimDownClubKeymasterHi, MSGTRXCPA. No, it’s 1 cup total, and you decide the proportions of the cereal and milk.
