Hello!
Can someone please clarify what these foods are?
Fu
Filberts
Quorn
Seitan
Tempeh
I’m not sure of Quorn is the same thing as hazelnuts, and if Fu and Tempeh are different than Tofu…?
Thank you, sorry for the confusion! ~Lisa =)
Hi, LPrice. All are meat substitutes, very different from tofu. Fu, seitan, and Quorn are made from wheat – fu is a combination of gluten and flour, seitan is just gluten, and Quorn is a combination of gluten, egg, and mushroom. Tempeh is a combination of fermented soybean and grains, and is lumpy.
Filberts are hazelnuts.
Thank you for answering my questions Sharon. I appreciate your time and attention to my ignorance!
=)
~Lisa
