Krhicke73MemberI’m so excited to find this program! I need to lose about 60 pounds that I have gained after a back injury. I have also been diagnosed with pernicious anemia that prevernts my body from absorbing b12, so its making things a little difficult. I’ve spent too much time and money on gimmicks that don’t work. I can’t wait to get started!!

georgethefifthMemberHi I am new as well. I don’t usually fall for something like this, I do hope I have done the right thing. I have recently been diagnosed with diabetes. Needless to say I am not very happy at this moment. Except for my vision I have always thought of myself as being in good health. Hopefully, there will be a lot of support out there. I am feeling I need a pick me up today. Please forgive me if I sound as though I am on my pity pot. Blessings to you all. Georgethefifth

JenitaMemberWay to go, Georgethefifth! It’s never too late to start working on better health. I am also new to this, only been doing it for a few days, but so far I like it a lot. Just the accountability part is helpful for me. Just thought I’d give you a pat on the back and say that I wish you well. Hope you feel lots better really soon. 🙂

JenitaMemberAlso, Georgethefifth, be sure to check out the Articles section of this program. Type in “Plant Based” and “Diabetes” in the Search box and you will see a bunch of articles giving your more support and information. Some of my close family members developed diabetes later in life. I have watched it be completely reversed by following more of a plant based, whole foods, significant reduction in processed foods diet! You may also want to check out “Forks over Knives” online. They point to a number of helpful recipes and information on the benefits of a plant based whole foods diet. I hope this helps.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Khrhicke. If you have been on restrictive diets before, it may take your body a little time to get used to eating normal portions of food again. You can jumpstart the process by adding or changing your physical activity, to keep your muscles guessing. Include bursts of brief periods of intense physical activity, too.
