I am new to the program and in looking at the 21 day menu, there are a lot of things stated to eat that i dont like. Any ideas on substitutes for cheese ( I dont like it), apricots, oatmeal, avocado, peaches, these foods all upset my stomach. Help please DonnaLouise22
Hi, DonnaLouise, and welcome. You can substitute something that is in the same food group. For example, any fruit can sub for another – the general amount is about the size of your fist or a handful. Similarly, other cereals can be used instead of oatmeal, or for each 1/2 cup, you can have a slice of bread. Here is the list of exchanges: http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists.
I invested in a Vitamix, so I could make more food from scratch. I really like it, now that I’m used to it. Just made my own tomato sauce for a spaghetti dinner tonight.
But the main idea is to get back to the basics, and keep it simple. I keep thinking back at how my grandmother cooked, it helps me with my choices.
