Hi. I’m Troy, a 40 year old guy that has struggled with weight problems for a long time. Just recently had a life threatening episode where my sugar reading spiked near 600 and kidneys among other organs started to shut down. I later learned that my glUcose levels where out of whack for some time due to an apparent virus that distorted my pancreas. Although I probably didn’t help my situation with my eating habits all of this came out of left field. Despite my weight I never tested positive revenue borderline diabetic. This is all so new and scary. I’m now insulin dependent for the foreseeable future baring a cure or miracle. All the help and advice that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, Troy. You have definitely come to the right place! This program is based on principles of diabetes management and prevention. Hopefully your kidneys have recovered. If you need support, please do take advantage of the groups (see the link above). If you have any nutrition or fitness questions, I would be more than happy to help.
