MontgomParticipantHi Ossie:
I just re-entered my menu choices as I have taken milk products out of my diet and now use Almond Milk. When I looked at the results of my daily menus I noticed that the “Dessert Shake” showed up 4 times in one day (Friday). This seems a bit odd to me.I also wanted to ask you about changing my menu from what the software prepared. I work full-time and usually have a shake for breakfast – the one in your recipes with banana, & berries (I forget the name) but I have juggled it a bit a swapped out the berries for 1/2c Just Apples (applesauce with no sugar or additives) and I add a pinch of flax seed and a scoop of protein. Because I am at work for lunch and 2 snacks and can’t cook, I eat the same thing every day (don’t mind the repetition at all): I prepare the foods on Sunday and they last all week. I have a fridge under my desk.
My morning snack is 1 egg and 2 rice cakes; my lunch is 3oz chicken breast, 1/2c quinoa, 1/2c finely chopped vegies and a drizzle of olive oil with sugar-free jello or a piece of fruit for dessert.
Because I go to the gym during my lunch hour I eat while working and don’t finish my lunch until about 2-2:30 so I’m not usually hungry for an afternoon snack as I eat supper about 5-5:30.
I follow the supper menu and evening snack and I would like to know if I am getting enough of everything I need. I have always had trouble eating as much as the menu states so I do halve some of the items. i.e. 1/2 orange instead of a whole one or 1/2c wild rice instead of 1c.
Would appreciate your comments.
