Hi, LGScarito. No, you definitely don’t have to eat these plain. You can have butter and syrup, but be sure to count them as fats and sweets – 1 tsp or 5 g butter is a fat exchange, and each 2 Tbsp. of syrup is a sweet exchange (or you can substitute for a carb exchange).
