DianeSmileMemberI am a newbie, just starting in the TDC. I wonder if anyone can tell me what ratios should be eaten at each meal; I.e, 1 serving protein, 1 serving vegetables/fruit, 1 serving bread, 1 serving fat (butter, olive oil). I was kind of expecting something like that when I signed up. I am. Very much into grass fed meat and dairy, so I am not very excited about he meal plans I see for Week 1…

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Diane, and welcome! The ratios are different for different people based on their needs. To find yours, click on “Exchange View” in the toolbar above your finished menu – it may differ a little from day to day, but it is within a certain range.
As for grass-fed meat and dairy, those are considered “superfoods,” which we will introduce in the second and third weeks, as most people do not use them, and we want to give them an opportunity to empty their cupboards and refrigerators rather than throw food out. If you have these already, consider yourself ahead of the game!September 3, 2014 at 12:39 am #23044

RoMcCoMemberHi Diane Welcome!
When you are in the Menu Planner after you have selected all the foods you like. At the very end of the page after the last category on the right it says Save and Save & Create Menu. You want to hit that second button Save & Create Menu. Wait for it and there is your menu.
Hope this helps, Much success to you on your journey!September 3, 2014 at 3:36 pm #23058
kstuartMemberI am new to this program. I just joined a few minutes ago. After looking over the week 1 menu, I noticed there are several foods that I do not particularly like. ie, almonds, artichokes, cottage cheese. Is it possible to swap these foods for something else? if so, what?

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, kstuart, and welcome! You can definitely swap them. The list of exchanges is here – http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists.
