SpongyMemberHello,
I would like to know if it is ok to make a menu by taking meals from previous menus, or do I need to follow the daily menus as recommended? For ex: I follow today’s menu up until lunch and add remaining snacks and dinner from various previous menus. I hope that I am not confusing you.
Thank You.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Spongy. Absolutely! Make the menus your own, and do what is comfortable, as long as you don’t miss out on key foods such as fruits, vegetables, and sources of calcium.

SpongyMemberHello,
I am having a bit of a difficult time converting measurements for the meals servings so I am being as accurate as I can. I would like you to tell me in my case, approximately how many calories should I be consuming a day? This will better assist me with my planning.
Thank You.

ButcherboyMemberI’m in the same boat Spongy. I am new to the program and printed out the first week’s menu. I am used to eating my big meal at lunch, so have had to do a lot of rearranging and combining snacks with meals. I am eating the prescribed diet but am concerned about whether it is combined properly. Hope our Trimclub nutritionist can guide us. Good luck to you.

DeborahjjhayesMemberHello and welcome, if you are not sure to start there is loads of helpful information on the menu planner and much more at http://blog.trimdownclub.com/60-day-challenge/
Also watch this, it will really help if you are new to the Trim Down Club “How to start with what you have”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdBTmuiHrMo…
Read more http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists/ This is an invaluable list. I printed mine out and keep it by my chair. It is the exchange li sts/subsitutions list …whatever you want to call it.September 13, 2014 at 1:04 pm #23320
ButcherboyMemberCan someone explain “exchanges”? I have seen the list but have no idea how to use it. Thanks in advance.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Butcherboy. When you finish creating a menu in the Menu Planner application, click on “Exchange mode” in the toolbar just above it, and you’ll see numbers under each food group category – those are the numbers of exchanges allotted to you to meet your nutritional needs, and signify the number of portions in the exchange lists that you can fit into your day. The Menu Planner application does this automatically for you, but as you get used to the program, you will find that you can do this to build your own menus, if you wish.

sweetiepie1MemberHi I am new to this program and would like to know how many servings per day we should have of protein, carbs and fats. I see after each recipe it list these and tells how much of each, but I can’t find anywhere how much each day. This would be helpful in planning my own menu. Thank you.
