I would like to substitute my homemade cashew milk (3 c water, 1-1/2 C cashews, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 T maple syrup, 1 tsp vanilla) with the cow milk listed in the planned menus. I understand there is less protein in nut milk than cow milk. Should I add protein powder? If so, how much?
Hi, SlimSong. Don’t worry about it, as there is quite a bit of protein in the rest of the menu. Do be sure to get other sources of calcium and vitamin D.
