katiehunterMemberI have a few questions…… I am new to the TDC…..I use the menu planner as it makes it mush easier for me. I feel that it is way to much food for me. I am consuming way to many calories I believe…..what do I do when I get real busy at work and my first snack has not been eaten and its lunch time? Do I skip or add it? I do the elliptical 3 days a week and walk 5 miles one day a week so far….. is this enough? Is this good? I am on week two and have lost nothing yet. I have PCOS and struggle with weight all the time. I have lost and gained for 11 years I need HELP FOR long time results.PLEASE HELP ME……

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Katie, and welcome. If you are as active as you note here (which is great, by the way!), you are likely not getting too much food. If you have been on restrictive diets in the past or are used to processed (dense) foods, normal amounts of whole foods may indeed seem very large.
However, if you miss that first snack or get uncomfortably full and want to cut back a little, no worries – just try to make sure that throughout the day, you get at least 5 total servings of fruits+vegetables and 3 servings of calcium-rich foods.November 10, 2014 at 4:49 pm #24545
katiehunterMemberYes I am active. I am not not active at work so the elliptical for 30 mins 3 days a week and a hour to hour and half walk 1 day a week I thought was good. I’m looking for ways to do weight training if you have any suggestions. I have not lost but 5 pounds in the beginning. Will I loose mor e with what I’m doing? Do the menues use height current wieght and age to make them? To know what I should have.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Katie. We definitely have some guides for weight training, and Customer Service would be happy to set you up (you can reach them directly through the “Contact Us” link below). A 5-pound loss when starting this program is EXCELLENT! The intention is for you to lose slowly so that the weight will stay off. Yes, your menus do take those factors into account.
