Hi, i live in the UK, can u tell me the equivelent to brick cheese, can anyone explain what it is, so i may find a substitute please
Hi, Karen. “Brick” or “block” cheese is just hard cheese (like cheddar).
I looked it up on the internet, and they recommended substitute with havarti and monterey jack, but nothing about cheddar. They named the cheese brick because it was made in blocks like bricks, many years ago.
Hi karen I also live in the UK and struggle to find some of the food.
Hi JennyNadine,
Here’s a link with a list of stores that carry many of them. With some, you can shop online if they’re not located anywhere in your area.
