Familiar with Friendship Soup? I just received a mixture consisting of dry split peas, bouillon powder, dry lentils, dry minced onions, dry Italian seasoning, uncooked rice, and macaroni. To this I added canned tomatoes and ground round (which I run hot water over to remove excess fat).
Question: How do I break this down with reference to meat, vegetables, etc?
Hi, WallerJoyce. Measure out the amounts of each ingredient, compare them to the amounts in the exchange list (http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists), then divide the total by the number of servings (usually about a cup / 8 fl oz / 240 ml for soups).
