MemberWhat is pesto sauce? And in the video it talked about green or white tea, which I won’t drink. What is wrong with herbal tea?

MemberHi, SunshiningDay. Pesto sauce is basically fresh basil leaves pureed in olive oil; sometimes pine nuts and/or Parmesan cheese are added. Herbal tea (which technically isn’t tea, but rather an infusion) is great- however, its beneficial properties are very individual, depending on the plant from which it is made. Green tea is associated with benefits for weight loss, which is why it is favored in this program, but there are plenty of herbal infusions out there that can be just as good – cinnamon is a great example. Whole leaf is best, but if you use tea bags, do be sure to rinse them under cool water before adding them to hot water.

MemberI learned something new. I use green or white tea bags and did not know that they should be rinsed in cool water before putting them in water. Sunshiningday day thanks for posted your question about herbal tea vs. green or white tea.
