Hi guys only just started this game and am really struggling with knowing what most of the ingredients are! I assume they are mostly US names and having lived in the US many years ago I know that there are lots of things that are named differently in the UK. Is there a quick way of finding out what these are and does anyone have any suggestions as to,how to source some if these ingredients when I live in a little village far from the bigger supermarkets. is there a good online organic source that won’t cost me the earth to get delivered to Northern Ireland.

By the way, there is no pressure to eat anything unappealing. Just upgrading what you eat now to unrefined is already a big step.
To add on what Ossie sent, be sure to update your location in your profile to the UK, and you should now see more familiar British foods.
😉I’m new to this too & have spent a good number of hrs searching the net for answers – lots of US named foods I didn’t recognise but a search usually gives uk name/translation. Am having difficulties with sourcing some products; especially as recipes state different flour & sugar alternatives – does it matter which one – I can’t afford to get them all. Swg flour seems to be a big problem, I found a place but it’s min 10kg at £13 per 2.5kg & they’re out of stock.
