I am just starting out and notice the menus are heavy on dish. While I like shellfish, like shrimp, clams etc. I do not like fish. What can I substitute besides clams for a fish meal?
Hi, Cathieclaire. For protein, any meat or poultry can be substituted ounce for ounce, as can hard cheese, egg, seitan, and tempeh (2 ounces of organic tofu can be substituted for each ounce of fish). As far as the omega-3 value goes, be sure to use good oil sources if you can – these include organic canola, chiaseed, hempseed, and even olive.
