We’re going out for a Dim Sum brunch tomorrow? I’ll do my usual 3 mile walk first. Any suggestions on which dim sum to avoid, and what would the TDC suggest would be an appropriate for serving size? Thank you.
Hi, Debra. Dim sum in general is challenging because it is based on refined rice flour, but the fried items are a double-whammy and therefore worth avoiding. About 4 medium (2-inch/5-cm) dumplings or 2 large (4-inch/10-cm) is generally considered to be a serving size – but if you are combining two meals per the “brunch” definition, something around 4-8 would probably be fine, with a side salad and soup.
