    Hi
Im not very computer savvy and im having a difficult time understanding your
    program.
What is your novelty compared to other weight-loss programs? all i heard was
the benefits of healthy eating. I learned that in high school biology class
    :).
i am here because i want to lose weight in a healthy way. i dont feel like i
am armed with the proper tools. what is the science behind planning my menu?
i want to plan it myself based on the foods in my kitchen. How can I do
that. I read your program guides and i didnt see any guidelines. What is the
recommended ratio of protein to carbs per meal? I cant find that info
    anywhere.
Please explain. I am disappointed that I signed up and not receiving what I
    hoped for.
    Thank you

    Hi chayakatz,

    Welcome!

I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble getting the information you expected prior to joining.

The Trim Down Club is unique and different than other diets because we have your goal weight and long-term success in mind from the very start. While many other fad diets show you how to drop pounds quickly, yet never deal with the root cause of gaining weight, and the weight always comes back.

    For more information: http://www.trimdownclub.com/the-facts-
    on-fads/.

The beauty of the Menu Planner is it’s simplicity. You provide us with the foods and we break it down into a menu plan that has the right combinations for long-term and lasting success.

If you feel that you want to plan your own menu’s based on specific combinations, that is great too! After you create a menu plan, you will have the option to view your menu plan in Exchange Mode, where you will get a complete breakdown of exchanges, this way you can learn the true science behind this wonderful tool.

Lastly, if you are looking for an easy to follow path, we recommend our “8 Week Plan”, which can be accessed from your homepage.

I am hoping I was able to help 🙂

    To your health and success!!!

Hi, Chaya. Based on your information, this is your menu pattern –
    Breakfast: 2 starchy carb, 2 protein, 1-2 fat, 1 fruit, 0-1 Tbsp jam/syrup
Morning Snack: 1 starchy carb, 1 protein, 1 fruit
Lunch: 2 starchy carb, 3 protein, 2 fat, 1-2 vegetable
Afternoon Snack: 1 starchy carb, 1 protein, 0-1 vegetable
Dinner: 2 starchy carb, 4 protein, 1 fat, 1 vegetable
Evening Snack: 1 starchy carb OR 1 sweet, 1 protein, 1 fat, 1 fruit
The exchanges correspond to this list – http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists.
It is recommended to get at least 3 servings per day of calcium-rich foods, such as dairy or vegetal equivalent, tahini, almonds, sardines in tomato sauce, etc.
You can re-arrange the exchanges as you wish, but we do recommend that starchy carbs or fruits are always accompanied by a protein, and that you spread the foods out fairly evenly throughout the day, and don’t load up toward nighttime (unless, of course, that’s when you have your daily workout).
If you have any further questions, please do repost.
