MemberHi, Vickie, and welcome! It looks like you may really enjoy the support groups here – the link is in the upper right corner. The most popular is Successful Beginnings, but you may find other that suit you as well.

MemberHi all, I am a 58 y/o nurse educator. My new job requires me to get up at 4:30 AM daily to be at the clinical site in time to prepare for students. By the time I get home around 2:30 PM all I want to do is relax and recuperate. Do you have any suggestions on how to stay motivated to work out? Thanks!

MemberHi Becajo,
Try doing some of the workout routines during lunch or breaktime. There are so many exercises you can do even from a chair. Instead of looking to do all of your routines at one time, break them up throughout the day.January 24, 2015 at 8:24 pm #26228catrinadavis
MemberHey everybody! I also get up at 4:30am. I take a change bag and go “straight to the gym” after I get off of work. If I go home, I will stay home. That’s the only way that I can stay motivated even when I’m exhausted. God bless to all!!

MemberDo you have favorite programs you’ve DVR’d? I like to watch them while I do the elliptical, it makes it go faster and I don’t feel like I’m wasting my time watching TV.

MemberI’m a little frustrated. I’ve got lots more energy, eating lots of what I’m suppose to. I can feel my clothes loosening on me yet the scale hasn’t budged ! 🙁
Any suggestions ????

MemberHi, angel36. That is typical at the beginning, and all that matters at this point are the tangible results you’re getting. The scale number will start to come down a little later – no worries!
